Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), Guwahati will be announced the gate result 2018 on 17th March 2018. The Result of GATE will contain scores obtained by each applicant. The result for gate will be declared only for those applicants who will secure qualifying scores as per their discipline and category. IIT Guwahati is organized the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering for admissions into M.E/M.Tech and Ph.D courses at the NITs, the IITs & other colleges and universities in India. The gate examination is conducted on 3rd, 4th, 10th and 11th February 2018 in two sessions. GATE 2018 Results Branch Wise

IIT Guwahati will declare gate result for all braches like EC, ME, GG, CH, BT, PH, MN, CY, AR, MA, IN, PE, CE, CS, AG, EE, MT, EY, AE, PI, XE, TF and XL. Every subject of GATE will contain different qualifying scores. The marks of applicants in GATE will be calculated out of 100 while the GATE score will be calculated out of 1000. The normalization process will be adopted while deriving the GATE Exam results thus that any variation in difficulty level of exam papers might be adjusted. The gate result will contain applicant’s name, GATE registration number, GATE paper which the applicant has appeared, GATE marks out of 100 and qualifying scores for discipline.

How to Check GATE Result 2018

  • Applicants first go to the official site of IIT Guwahati.
  • Now click on the GATE Result link.
  • After that applicants are required to enter their GATE registration number, roll number & DOB.
  • Then click on submit button.
  • The gate result will appear on the screen.
  • Check your result and download it.

GATE Score Card 2018

After the announcement of gate result, qualified applicants can download their GATE rank card for the paper. The GATE score will be available at the official site of GOAPS. Furthermore, in case any applicant needs soft copy of gate score card after 31st May 2018 & till 31st December 2018, they can obtain by paying fee of Rs. 500 on the GOAPS site. In addition, GATE rank card is very important documents during the admission procedure. The score card of GATE will be available for all applicants, who have obtained greater than or equal to qualifying score as per their category. The published gate result & gate scorecards is used for M.E/M.Tech admissions and also the recruitment process of PSUs such as SAIL, ONGC, GAIL, BHEL, etc.

Steps to Download GATE Score Card 2018

  • First of all applicants should visit the official site of GATE Online Application Process System (GOAPS).
  • Now click on the link Score Card of GATE.
  • After that applicants have to enter the necessary details such as GATE entrollment id/email id, GOAPS password & captcha and then submit it.
  • The GATE score card will display on the screen.
  • Then download it and take a print out of the score card.

GATE Cut Off 2018

GATE cut off marks branch wise will be declared after gate result. The GATE cut off marks is qualifying minimum GATE marks which must be obtained by applicants to qualify in the GATE. Furthermore, applicants whose scores are greater than/equal to the minimum qualifying score of their respective GATE papers will be declared in examination. Based on the obtained scores applicants can apply for M.Tech admissions or various PSUs recruitments.

The top institutes such as IITs, IISc and NITs will declare their own GATE cut off score for M.Tech admissions. Also, various PSUs will declare their own GATE score for recruitments.
